PetSmart Sundays: Biggest Adoption Event of the Week

Volunteers are the heart of Paws 4 You Rescue. We are professionals from many walks of life - graduate and college students, and high school and middle school students.  Volunteers have their choice of various activities in which to participate - being a part of the adoption team at PetSmart on Sundays or on Saturdays at Petco South Beach, getting bubbly with the dogs at bath time, fostering puppies and dogs during the week, participating in special events throughout the year, and sponsoring or assisting in fundraising activites.

Paws 4 You Rescue

Volunteers

Volunteering with an animal rescue organization is a gratifying experience that is difficult to match!  It warms our hearts to see homeless and neglected pets become beloved members of families. We know that the dogs appreciate their new homes.  Letters, e-mails, visits and phone calls from adoptive families are constant reminders of the goodwill spread by pet rescue groups such as Paws 4 You Rescue.

Thank you for wanting to volunteer with our Rescue!

Check out the Events Page for more details on our weekly adoption events as well as special fundraisers too.

Adult volunteers are always welcome!

There is much to do at Paws 4 You Rescue so bring your talents and expertise because we would love for you to be a part of our
organization in any capacity. If you are over eighteen years of age and interested in becoming a volunteer, please email chris@paws4you.org.

Our teen volunteers are an integral part of our weekend adoption events.  Helping to show, excercise and socialize dogs, as well as
generally creating a positive impression of Paws 4 You Rescue as the public meets us is a very important role.

Some of the basic requirements to be a teen volunteer and receive community service hours are:

           - Volunteers must be 14 years of age.

           - Volunteers must attend a brief orientation and training meeting held with at least one parent. During this meeting, the duties
and responsibilities will be outlined and explained.

           - Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 40 hours of service and our Volunteer Coordinator will sign hours ONLY
after 40 hours or more have been served.

           - Volunteers should expect to be in attendance from start to finish at each of the weekly adoption events.

           - Prior to applying to become a volunteer, please send an email indicating your interest to volunteer@paws4you.org.  The Rescue
Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with you soon afterwards.
